producing CNC woodworking equipment for worldwide product distribution and sales.
1982 to 1986 President of a board laminating plant, with component
manufacturing capabilities, in North Carolina USA.
1986 to 2006 President Schmidt Industrial Services supplier to
the wood industry selling and implementing single machines and total
manufacturing plants.
Served on the board of directors for the Woodworking Machinery
Industry Association (WMIA) 1988 to 1996.
1996 to 2001 executive board WMIA
2001, 2003 President WMIA.
1988 to 2008 Board member ANSI 01 Committee (American Standards
Institute Safety Standards for Woodworking Machinery). Representing the
Woodworking Machinery Industry Association as a full voting Member.
2006 to 2008 Chairman ANSI o1.1 Subcommittee developing Safety Standards for Edgebanders including harmonizing
with European CE Standards.
